1. Who we are
Amparo is an app by Vasquez Law Firm [exact legal name]. In these terms, "we" means Vasquez Law Firm. Hodos 360, LLC builds and runs the app on the firm's behalf.
By creating an account or using Amparo, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Information, not legal advice
General information, not legal advice for your case. Using Amparo does not create an attorney-client relationship. Amparo is not affiliated with USCIS, EOIR or ICE.
An attorney-client relationship exists only when you sign a representation agreement with Vasquez Law Firm. To decide what to do in your case, talk to an attorney.
3. Your account
- Minimum age to use Amparo: [minimum age].
- Confirming your cell number with a code by text message is optional. If you add it, use a number that is yours.
- You are responsible for the information you give us being correct and for keeping access to your phone safe. You can protect the app with Face ID or a fingerprint.
- You can delete your account in Profile, "Delete account". You can also write to us at [privacy email].
4. Your case data
When you add your receipt number or A-Number, Amparo checks your case status on the public USCIS and immigration court (EOIR) pages. That information can be late, incomplete or change without notice, and it is not in our control.
Always confirm your date on your official notice or by calling EOIR at 1-800-898-7180. Do not miss a hearing or a filing because of something you saw in the app.
The NVC tracker and the deadlines the app calculates are based on what you mark or type. Review them with your legal team.
5. Ask Amparo
Amparo is a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence, not a person and not an attorney. Its answers are general information and can contain mistakes. The free plan has a daily limit on questions.
If you are in an emergency, call 911. If ICE detained someone or your hearing is very soon, use the button to talk to the firm.
6. Talking to the firm
When you ask to talk to Vasquez Law Firm, the firm receives your name, your number and what you asked for, and contacts you as fast as possible. Asking for a call or an evaluation does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee that the firm will take your case.
The text messages you receive from the firm are described in the privacy policy. Reply STOP to stop receiving them.
7. Yo Peleo+
Yo Peleo+ is an optional paid plan in Amparo. It is not on sale yet. When it is:
- You will see the price before you pay. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) charges your account.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- If the store offers you a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before.
- Refunds are decided by the store under its own rules.
- Yo Peleo+ does not include legal representation or the firm's services.
8. Invites and referrals
Amparo does not message your family or your contacts: if you invite them, you send the message. Referral rewards exist only inside the app, are never paid in money and do not include legal services. [referral program rules, to be approved by William]
9. Acceptable use
- Do not add another person's case without their permission.
- Do not post personal data, such as an A-Number, or false, offensive or illegal content in the community.
- Do not try to copy the app, scrape data automatically or get around its limits.
We may suspend or close an account that does not follow these terms.
10. Liability
Amparo is provided as is. We work to keep it running well, but we do not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. [limitation of liability, to be written by William]
Amparo, Yo Peleo and the content of the app belong to Vasquez Law Firm or to those who licensed it.
11. Changes, governing law and contact
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app when the change is important.
